EUGENE, Ore. — Logan Cunningham is Rio bound.

The former Texas State pole vaulter placed third overall in Monday’s finals of the U.S. Olympic Trials at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field.

Sun Belt commissioner Karl Benson has spoken repeatedly about avoiding an "addiction" to the money game.
He's trumpeted the value of more balanced scheduling, where Sun Belt programs play "peer conference" schools, meaning those from the "Group of Five," namely the American Athletic Conference, Conference USA, Mid-American and Mountain West.
Yet, there is little doubt about the importance of guaranteed games when it comes to the budgets of Sun Belt schools.
