The San Marcos CISD salutes teams of campus educators who help build the competence and confidence of students with learning challenges. Special buttons were given recently to the De Zavala staff for them to wear as a show of support for the dyslexia program.

A group of enthusiastic San Marcos CISD students spent their Friday evening, Sept. 30, discussing Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity. San Marcos High School freshman Cadet Dava Flowers, a member of the Civil Air Patrol Squadron 435, prepared and facilitated a presentation and a hands-on activity to give students the opportunity to explore the theory of relativity in an interactive way.
The San Marcos CISD Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a group of dedicated individuals who work diligently for the health and well-being of the community’s children. The group meets quarterly to review reports and discuss initiatives, but throughout the year SHAC committees are busy working to bring those initiatives to reality.
Several San Marcos CISD campuses and departments are promoting Breast Cancer Awareness /Cancer Awareness Month during October by wearing pink. This includes the Lady Rattler Volleyball team who are wearing pink at all their games this month, and the front office staff of the Lamar Building- Phoenix and Rebound programs.
