Col. Robert Walter Dupras
Col Robert Walter Dupras, U.S. Air Force, Retired, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1925 in East Glacier Park, Montana, to Joseph F. Dupras and Cora E. Dupras. After attending college, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot for 33 years serving during WWII, the Korean Conflict, and Vietnam. He made three tours in Vietnam, two years in Guam, Africa, Spain and various other locations before retiring with the rank of Colonel. He was a former resident of Texas, moving to Tupelo, Mississippi to be near his daughter Kristy Ivancic. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors.
A private family memorial service celebrating his life was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo, Mississippi. Condolences may be emailed to email@example.com.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Edythe Dupras of Tupelo; son Robert Dupras (Linda) of Little Rock, Arkansas; two daughters, Kristy Ivancic (Ed) of Tupelo and Kathy Locker (David) of Brownwood, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
