A teenage girl who went missing from Katy last week may be in the San Marcos area, family friends say.

Kassy Daniel, 15, was last seen on Monday, June 19 in the 25200 block of Doves Gate Court in Katy. Family friend Paula Goynes said the family was about to move to Martindale and that the girl has friends in the San Marcos area partially because her father, Jay Daniels, is a veteran of the Texas Water Safari.

According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department, there is no indication of foul play. However, “The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is seeking her whereabouts in order to verify her well-being,” public information officer Bob Haenel said.

She is described as five feet, two inches tall, around 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, black jeans and a black sweater. She is said to have medical issues.

“The canoeing community loves Kassy and can’t believe she would just disappear without a trace,” Goynes said on Facebook, adding a plea for the girl to “call home or a friend and let us know you are safe.”

Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is urged to call the Fort Bend SO at 281-341-4665.
