The Sunshine Kids beat Wednesday’s 100-degree heat with a float down the San Marcos River. More than 20 young cancer patients are part of the 28th annual Sunshine Kids Hill Country Adventure, which has lasted all week. Earlier on Wednesday, the group toured the Texas Capitol.

The city of San Marcos will host its monthly brushy waste drop-off for residential garbage and recycling service customers on Saturday, June 9 from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
