What kind of town is San Marcos? A river runs through it. A first-class university sits majestically upon a hill overlooking downtown. It is the lynchpin between two of Texas’ major metropolitan areas. Demographically, it is a mirror of Texas.

Wow, the weather is already heating up, but that is fine by me, as spring flows into summer, the mercury rises, our gardens produce loads of wonderful fruits and vegetables, and farmers markets have their best selections of the year.

Although Earth Day is well past, I found some figures on this Earth Day that I found interesting and I hope you do too. The info comes from an Earth Day email after they earlier stressed reducing plastic pollution, especially one-time use of plastic bottles.
