22 points from MacKenzie Saenz wasn’t enough to hold off the Lady Mustangs.

San Marcos (8-22, 0-3 in District 14-6A)  is still in search of its first district win after Friday night’s 57-53 loss to Manor.

Entering the fourth quarter, San Marcos held a 44-43 lead thanks to a 9-point effort from its senior guard in the third period to hold off a Lady Mustang run that resulted in six forced turnovers.
