SMCISD to add pharmacy technician certification

Executive Editor

As the San Marcos CISD continues to find new ways to enhance the value of a high school education, one of the new programs set to begin next year is Pharmacy Technician certification.
“What it means is that a high school student will be able to graduate with not only their high school diploma but also be certified as a pharmacy technician and walk into jobs with starting pay in the $25-$30,000 per year range,”  Pam Guettner, director of Career and Technical Education for the SMCISD, said.
