Gonzales: District must manage growth

Danny Gonzales was co-chair of the successful recent school bond election committee and it was from that experience that he decided to run for the school board this May.
“During the bond election I got to work with people in the district and to get to know even more people in our community. I felt I could make a difference,” he said.

Man who robbed San Marcos bank sentenced to 15 years

A Dripping Springs man was sentenced in federal court this week to 15 years for six bank robberies, one of which occurred in San Marcos.
U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel also ordered 52-year-old Randall David Reed to pay restitution totaling $32,430 and to serve three years probation after completing his prison term.
